Abalone shells are commonly used in Native American smudging ceremonies.
Traditionally they are used to hold smudge sticks, incense, or loose herbs. They also make a wonderful bowl to hold crystals.
As this is an item from Mother Earth, no two shells are the same. You will not receive the exact one pictured here, though it will be of the same quality and size. It measures approximately 3".
Please use with caution. Depending on the surface on which the shell is placed, it may be wise to place a small amount of sand in the bottom of the shell to ensure heat transfer doesn't cause any damage if burning sage (or other sacred plant) is placed inside.
